well he first saw them setting a live rat on fire while laughing maniacally and he was Absolutely Terrified and twirls hair are they single at the same time. after that he was so so scared of her for the longest time. like. he mostly hangs out with scout & heavy so he's Heard some stuff about pyro and decided that the best course of action would be to avoid him as much as possible. this only changed after he was forced to stay at the base with them Alone [rest of the team got an emergency call right after he was done fixing the radio tower so by the time he got back there was. no one. they left pyro behind to guard the base while they're gone] so they were forced to Bond and hacker realized that Hey you're not scary you're just a little weird. and they became Friends :]

pyro saw a guy who's actively trying to be niceys to everyone and who gets a little silly with it and is also quite the cringe fail loser and decided that Oh Yeah. that's the one. p.yrovision only exaggerated that even more which made them see hacker as their prince charming slash damsel in distress. she also thought she's getting a good grade in getting to know him which is both normal to want and possible to achieve but from hacker's perspective he genuinely thought he was being Stalked. because he just kept following him around and staring at him wordlessly. they were also very protective of him on the battlefield, making sure no spies are trying to backstab him and setting every merc from blu team who comes close to him on fire. overall they were captivated by his swagless looks and cringe fail personality <3

they saw him get absolutely Wrecked by an enemy soldier during a match and they decided to avenge him by getting rid of said soldier and stuffing his head into hackers locker afterwards. when he opened it he was Horrified and almost threw up and thought one of the other mercs was pulling a prank on him or something. but after he found out that spy saw pyro stuffing the head into the locker he decided that OH. so i'm being threatened and they want to kill me. this was still when he was convinced pyro was stalking him so after that incident he was never seen around the base on his own. he even temporarily moved into scout's room so he wouldn't have to sleep alone. this lasted for several months. hacker also spends a lot of time with engie due to his job so every time he was around his workshop engie tried to convince him that "he's just bein' nice :)" which hacker did NOT believe because literally every other merc in the base thought pyro was planning to murder him. so he was in danger like. democratically. or something
