I've been thinking about starting an Adults with ADHD support group in my city, because there aren't any I can find. I was wondering if you had any information that point me in the right direction.
Have a look at Meetup.com to see if their service might help you. You can also advertise on other web sites.
You need a place to meet. Church halls are often available to rent (you would need some way to pay for it if they can't do free), or maybe there's some kind of association that has space (like a learning disabilities association). One group I used to belong to met once a month in a room at a restaurant, so we all just paid for our food and that was the only thing we had to worry about.
You also need to figure out what you want your group to be for. Is it going to be primarily social, or are you going to try and help each other figure out solutions to your challenges, or a combination of purposes? That could have an impact on where you meet and when.
That's what I can think of right now. Maybe some of my followers have thoughts about such a group!
