V’s not one to shop a lot, but if there’s something she will dish out money for every time, it’s boots. Red boots are her staple, but she’s got a closet devoted to boots of all shapes, sizes, and colors as well, because why shouldn’t she have a set for every occasion? She’s since cut down on her purchases after having that closet try to spill into her other one, and tends to window shop more. But her deal with Leather & Lace to showcase their gear has led to some lovely additions to her closet, most of which she’s tried to wear to meetings and events just to get some miles on them.
The shiny, leather thigh-highs Pierce did end up nixing during the campaign trail, however. She pouted for a day until she found out that he got her a deal to do an extended commercial for the line featuring them, and she perked right up after that. Told him she’d save them for the victory bash instead. (And she did, though that was for the afterparty when things really got interesting)
Grant doesn’t buy a lot of extra clothes. He'll have two pairs of decent jeans/pants, three shirts, and a pair of fingerless gloves that he'll cycle through on a regular basis unless it's for a special occasion. It’s an old habit after living off of small paychecks and having to stretch money from job to job, so he stocks up on simple things that he finds comfortable and easy to work in, and are also disposable if necessary. Later, when he does have access to more funds, he opts to buy duplicates of the essentials, because as he's learned the hard way, their line of work does tend to be rather...messy.
He eases up on it a little later and mixes in a few things at Pierce and Shaundi's suggestion, but never truly loses the habit.
