Hello! Erin here with Trudy! 💕💕💕 Trudy had her first vet visit today! Thank you @serranoanimalandbird for all your love you give my hams. ❤️ Okay so To catch you all up, Trudy who lives with Erin and Winnie who lives with Tony have Hydrocephalus. They are pet store animals that are bred from rodent mills. This type of hydrocephalus (fluid on the brain) is 100% passed on to all offspring and do not always exhibit the characteristics like Trudy and Winnie do of a shorter snout, domed skull and bulging eyes. And in 50% of the cases, no teeth or they are brittle and broken. 🐹 okay so back to Trudy’s Vet visit. She will get steroids to and see if that calms her down a bit. It should help with the pressure feeling she’s probably having. The dr spent a lot of time observing her for any other neurological issues and we watched her fall asleep. Mind you she’s a crier. Not a screamer but a crier. She cries just like a baby hamster and it’s sad but adorable all at the same time. Needless to say, she gets to keep her one toof. Trudy is back home sleeping on her #borkbox . In other news , we did try to do a sonogram on Sansa and Ganaches bellies to see if the babies would show up and as you might if guessed.... they were very squirmy! Sansa looked like she had some bbz and with Ganache not as far along as Sansa, some signs were there that age was pregnant. While #Starbuck may be gone, her legacy will always be remembered. She lives on in all her pups, grandpups and great grandpups. As well, Bork will be remembered through the #BorkBox made by @littlecrittercomforts. When Starbuck had her first litter, we gave her the cardboard box that surrounded our new keurig. She loved that box so much, and when she had her second litter I looked so hard to find one for her. Eventually, I talked to @hamster.mom about making us a special “BorkBox” with a flip up hinge top lid. Their craftsmanship blew us away, and the design was perfect. Starbuck’s daughter, Cordelia, used the borkbox pictured here for her first litter. It warms my heart that Starbuck will never be forgotten, and I hope many of you consider ordering a borkbox for your hamsters. Starbuck, we are so lucky to have had you in our lives. Thank you for loving us, and for making us laugh and cry. You were perfect and amazing. I love you Borkie. Sweet dreams, and rest in paradise. #memorial

#Cordelia is doing so well with her little ones and all the #HoliPups have big milk bellies. Unfortunately I didn’t get much of a chance to show it off, but this is our painted #BorkBox from @littlecrittercomforts! I did the painting but the amazing construction was done by them. I’m so lucky they made my dream a reality - and now all our future babies will benefit from it. @littlecrittercomforts have a ton of amazing, high quality products.
