Audrey knows she isn't supposed to wander around in the dark streets of town at times when thinning clouds do not reveal the shining sun, though the new eerie sky along with the gleaming moon instead. Thneedville might be described as safe, secure, and since lately, even 'natureware' after O'Hare's departure, but there're still some heavy businesses going on in this modernized city. Everyone knows that, everyone stays shut about that. Audrey included.
And for that reason the redhead wonders why she thought it was a good idea to step in front of the door a few hours ago. It's not because of the love for nature or her desire to meet up with some of the girls this time - it's something deeper. Her mind tells her, there is the presence of something special, an inspiration for her paintings tonight. Quite a far fetched thought for a 17-years old high school girl. Though what would the world be without dreamers?
But even if the one's soul is determinded to find this very spot, time is most often able to change plans. And time does it really well. Though it happens in the moment she almost changes her plans to go back home, neglecting her predictions, when the hair in her neck starts to raise whilst sudden heat bites into her nostrils, making breathing a hard task. Something... tingling and mighty is close by. And this tensity surely aren't the new pollen only, floating around lately, nor the oncoming meet-up of some fireflies (which obviously was a silly thought on her side. Those kind of bugs glow from June to July, she knows!).
Feeling excitement beginning to flicker in her fingertips, the student's sight darts from left to right, trying to figure out the source of this sensation. It's then when a tall dark figure brings itself to notice in the corner of her eye, leaning against one of the brightly white shining street lamps. A shakey breath escapes her lungs, and Audrey clenches her fists before a weakly shouted 'Hello?' leaves her and sounds through the night, hoping and fearing at the same time it will be noticed.
