    “How did you manage to get paint inside your mouth without realising?!” Aryan asked indignantly, pulling away from the kiss to wipe paint off his tongue. “How can you claim to have super-senses yet have such pathetic taste buds?” It was what he got for interrupting her halfway through painting he supposed, but he’d gotten bored just standing in the doorway and watching, and with the kids out, Aryan could demand as much attention as he liked for once.

Turning into a vampire had been beyond his control, taking over the body of a fallen witch? For the first time in a while Nate felt whole like he was always meant to stay a witch. “You know I was never comfortable as a vampire”

“Hm, threats already?” It amused her to see someone so young acting so mighty, but be that as it may, Katherine knew it would be stupid to underestimate the little hybrid.

“It seems your family told you of the Katherine Pierce. I suppose you think you know the whole story.” While interesting that no proper introduction was needed, her voice was laced with juuuust enough bitterness to hint at something more. The vampire briefly wondered if the teenager knew what was done to Katherine by her precious family. “You can relax, okay? All I’m after is information.”

    “Breathe?!” Aryan hissed, bristling with rage as he glared at the door behind her, as if he might be able to burn through it and the tyrant behind it. “He just called you a whore, though maybe I was hearing wrong, since nobody else seemed to bat a bloody eye! That man deserves to fall into a wood-chipper! How dare he?! He’s lucky all I gave him was a black eye! I should have choked the life out of him!”
