Do you know which ones have confirmed ages? I’m curious
Talking specifically about princesses (I'm not sure about the other heroines) this is what I'm pretty sure of. Please correct me if I'm wrong about any of this. And by confirmed I mean their age is stated in the movie.
Snow White- Her age isn't said in the movie, but I've heard there's a piece of concept art with a note from Walt saying she's fourteen. So if you count that as cannon she's 14. If you don't she doesn't have a confirmed age. Cinderella- No confirmed age Aurora- All events take place around her 16th birthday, so she's exactly 16. Ariel- "I'm sixteen years old, I'm not a child!" so she's 16 Belle- No confirmed age Jasmine- There's a line that says she has to be married by her "Next birthday" but it doesn't say what birthday it is. Most people seem to assume it's her 16th, but it could be 18th, 20th, 21st, even 35th for all we know (Preeetty unlikely, but hey it doesn't say) Pocahontas- No confirmed age Mulan- No confirmed age Tiana- No confirmed age Rapunzel- Turns 18 during the movie Merida- I actually don't remember if it says her age in the movie or not. Anna- 18. If I remember correctly during "Do you want to build a Snowman" she's fifteen, and then it says "Three years later". It say's she's fifteen right? Again, correct me if I'm wrong. Elsa- 21, same story but starting out 18. Moana- Ok she's not here yet but the directors have stated she's 14.

1. What was the happiest moment of your life? I’ve had a lot of happy moments in my life so far, and I’m very lucky for that, but my happiest moment had to be, in its own sick way, me joining crew and particularly sound. I’ve made my best friends through theatre, but particularly through crew. Though, I had the time of my life during Aida, too
2. If you could hold on to one memory from your life forever, what would that be? This is about the same question as above, but less than a memory, it would be a feeling that I would hold onto, and that feeling would be the feeling of magic, passion, excitement, newness, and power that I had both when I was performing in Aida and when I was running sound effects for Murder in 221b
3. What is your first memory of me? Aida, again. You were on crew and I was in the show, and I thought you were so annoying. Funny enough, now we’re best friends!
4. Who has been the kindest to you in your life? Wow…umm probably my mom truthfully.
5. What have you learned today? Today I learned that if you plan to go to lunch at a tourist destination, don’t arrive at 12:30 without expecting a significant wait
6. Who are some people you’d like to meet someday? All of the Kardashians, Britney, Rob Dyrdek, Shaun White, Giuliana Rancic, Darren Criss, Henry Cavill….
7. Would you rather live in the country or in the city? The city
8. What’s your favorite joke? What’s the opposite of smooth jazz…. Chunky jazz.
9. If you could learn one random skill, what would you learn? I would love to learn to play the harp and the piano, but my patience is nonexistent
10. What did you do on your 16th birthday? I think I just had the spicycats over for a sleepover. It was a winter/Christmas themed party, a definitive rager….

Frozen/Anna and Elsa Feels
I understand that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and all that jazz but recently I have been feeling lots of feels about Frozen and how fantastic it is that Disney explored new, different, and exciting characters/plots/etc. I had a friend express similar thoughts to me recently as well which reminded me that I was not the only one who felt this way. (And I knowwww I am not the first to post to Tumblr about all this, but my feels need to be expressed, so thanks for bearing with me)
One of the big reasons I feel that many people are so passionate about Frozen is simply the fact that this movie came out at a meaningful time in their life...It wasn't our fault we weren't alive when Cinderella was in theaters, and it is nice to have the ability to say "Frozen was such a hit and I loved getting to experience it along side the rest of the world."
Another reason Frozen is so special is that it is one of the first times that Disney explored characters Princesses with the personalities of Anna and Elsa. This gave more audience members characters to connect with. Most little girls love to pick a Disney Princess they are most like and introducing Anna and Elsa finally allowed me to have an answer. As much as I had always wanted to give an answer to the "Which Disney Princess are you most like?" question, I never really connected with one until Anna came along. (Disney Character-wise, it is Lottie from Princess and the Frog, in case anyone was wondering, but I wasn't content since she was not a technical answer on the "Princess" lineup.) Even spunky Rapunzel didn't quite fit my personality. But Anna did. And I know that Elsa was that Princess Queen for many others. For me, there was finally a princess who was royalty, but lacked much of the "sophisticated grace" of the classic Disney ladies. As much as I had wanted to pick one of them, I just wasn't that girl. But I was definitely an Anna, so much so that people were texting me as they came out of the theater to tell me this fact. And they were right. Her passion for chocolate, her sister, and her overall personality fit me to a T and that is what makes me so crazy for this movie. I know it isn't everyone's cup of tea, but honestly it is an amazing feeling to connect with a fictional character and watch her have a happily ever after. Yes, there may have almost been over-hype with Frozen, but I am so thankful that Disney took the time to create such a beautiful story and that they finally give me an answer to the "Which Disney Princess are you most like?" question.
Thank you, Disney :)
THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED ME HAVE A SUPER FABULOSO BIRTHDAY! <3
Today is my last day to be the Dancing Queen, Young and Sweet, Only Seventeen...♫ :)
