(Born-to-smell-fudge): "Daddy! I finished my Christmas list! We need to mail it to Santa!" Diana yelled, running through the B&B looking for her dad.
"Hey, hey," Pete grinned as he saw the girl and swooped her up in his arms. "Did you put enough stamps on the envelope?"
(born-to-smell-fudge age 12): "Daddy? Why didn't you tell me you were married before? And what was she doing here? Is she trying to break you and mommy up? You guys aren't going to like get a divorce right?"
“Di,” Pete looked down evidently ashamed. “There are some things… things about my past that I’m not exactly proud of. I used to be different. I want you to always see me as the man I am now. And no, Amanda’s just a friend. I love you and your mommy and we’re not getting a divorce.”
(Born-to-smell-fudge): Diana ran into the B&B from school with tears in her eyes, "Daddy! A girl made fun of me when I had to read in class today!"
"What?" Pete leaned to his daughter’s height and scooped her up, wrapping her into a tight embrace. Why would someone mess with his little girl?! "What happened, Di? I want names…"
(born-to-smell-fudge): "Daddy, you ate all my pudding!"
“I’ll ge’ yew sum mode ‘mowow,” he mumbled out with a mouthful of pudding, but promptly swallowed. “Daddy’s sorry, he’s hungry and all the cookies are gone.”
born-to-smell-fudge: "Daddy!" Diana ran to the foyer when she heard the door open, hoping that is was her dad that was coming home from work.
Pete smiled at the sound of the little girl’s voice; how much glee could a single word carry when it came from someone you loved.
"Heeey," he greeted the little girl and ran up to her, grabbing her into his arms and holding her into a tight hug.
"How’s my favorite superhero?" He twirled her around a little bit. "What kind of adventures did you have today?"
