The irony of this wasn't lost on him... a demon being worried about some other big bad's evil deeds. Should've been cheering them on. Instead, here he was, cavorting about with someone that'd kill him in a heartbeat. " Most of my... flock has been feeling it, too. Everyone's jumpy. " Oooo, that's not good. " Most of the time, when members of his congregation came to him --- all scared and tear-eyed --- begging for help ridding their home of something evilly spooky... it usually ended up being nothing. Well, nothing he was any help with. Faulty electrical work. Drafty windows that sounded like they were screaming anytime a storm rolled in. Hell, the beginnings of a gas leak making the folks hallucinate full-bodied figures, once. Usually, he just sprinkled a little holy water in the living room, said a few words in Latin --- generally just his grocery list --- and told the homeowners to call a proper home inspector in. Painfully boring.
