took like 4 months but i have a working prototype of the auto injector i’ve been designing. it uses a standard syringe and injects with enough force to reach muscle on your thigh. i tried to hide the needle as much as possible during the actual injection process (you still need to look at the needle to load it) in order to help those with a fear of needles, the retracting tip moves to cover the needle as soon as you back it off your thigh. this was for my friends who were skipping weeks of hrt because of their fear of needles. should cost the user less than $10 to make themselves if they have a 3d printer or know someone who does
