"But who would - " Katherine stops, eyes closing as she shifts to sit on Tony's leg. They've all been raised with the knowledge of what happened with their mother was taken, of the experiments that were run on Others, not just wolves, and what Savannah did to the facility. "Humans. It's got to be more of those human research freaks that just can't leave us well enough alone." (3/3)
Tony pulls her more into his lap, careful of his dented (never damaged) goods, and strokes at her side. She's as much of a touchstone as his woman. Resting his head against her, he knocks off the macho act for a few moments to actually listen and think about things. "Why aren't they taking the witches? Some of the demons?" he suggests. "Didn't they do it the last time? Wasn't Savannah there the last time, with Elena?"
Sometimes Tony struggles to not call Elena 'Mom' like Kat and Logan, because, well, she did half raise him. She's the closest thing he's got to a mother. But since things started to get hot and heavy between himself and Kat, that felt a little weird.
Victoria reaches forward and takes the bottle of pain pills left out specifically for her, and pops a couple with the remaining swig of water. "There may be witches missing too. We don't know. Maybe it's a 'everyone grab your own' kind of situation. The Pack's supposed to worry about wolves, and let the Coven worry about the witches?" She pauses a little. "But I can see the appeal. In a way. Think about it. Think about if someone could isolate the health side of being a werewolf. You guys don't ever get sick. That, in and of itself would drive people to this. Cure AIDS. Cancer. Basically everything but death."
Tony looks at his sister suspiciously. "Sounds like you've thought about it a lot," he retorts, that suspicion bald for the world to see. "Maybe you know more than you're saying."
"That if there'd been a way for me to save my mom's life, save her from suffering for three years, I would have done anything? Yeah, I probably would have. Because she didn't deserve to suffer. So, if you could crawl back into that Neanderthal cave you belong in, that'd be great."
