Thinking about Izuku losing the Ember.
I like the idea of him immediately going to Kacchan for comfort, especially if it's the middle of the night and Katsuki opens his door and finds Izuku standing there, hands cupped and empty in front of him and just
Katsuki immediately knowing without any words. Gently grasping Izukus hands and pulling him close and then into his dorm room. And they quietly talk into the night, and there are plenty of tears.
But then I'm thinking of the idea of them sitting together because izuku can somehow feel the severance coming. Like he can sense that it's time. And he just wants Katsuki's company. So he tells Katsuki what's going on, and katsuki drops what he's doing, and they find a quiet place to sit together and watch the sun go down(figuratively and literally).
And what if Izuku doesn't even cry. He may end up shedding a couple of tears, but by now, a couple years after the war, and setting himself up for a teaching career, he has come to peace with it.
However, Katsuki "the rest of our lives" Bakugou, next to him, actually cries more. Scrubbing the wet off his cheeks like in the hospital room with one hand, holding Izukus hand with the other.
As the Embers go out finally, they hold their hands out to the sky. As if setting it free or saying goodbye.
