omg i just checked out the pewdiepie post, i had no idea it ran that deep holy shit, as a person who used to tote around that "offensive is funny" bullshit when it gets to the point where you straight up become a dogwhistle for nazis, thats when it gets too far. its too far in the first place honestly but that's just crazy. i used to think "haha its just jokes!" but i've recently opened my eyes to how harmful it is, and while it means nothing to you, it means everything to someone else. always be careful with what you say, you might give the wrong person the wrong idea and i hope someday pewdiepie will realize what he has become.
Classifying problematic behaviour as a joke is not funny. It’s never a joke. Calling it a joke is manipulation, it’s gaslighting. And sadly SO many people just ignore that or don’t even see it at all.
