Second-half wipeout, but I will bounce back
Well, I hit three of my marathon goals: finish, less than 4 four hours and PR (even if it was by less than a minute). I was nowhere near my fourth goal, Boston, however. Was just a few minutes off pace through halfway point (1:34), but I had some severe hydration issues (I should have carried my water bottle). I'm pretty devastated for today. A few weeks from now, I'll be back on the track and doing hill repeats. I'm even more determined now. 12th marathon done, ninth state, 3:44:29. Now to get rid of this awful headache. Also, I'm going to go ahead and shave. This Boston beard is going away. When my next training cycle begins, I will start my next Boston beard. I will make sure to post a few photos.
