Boston bound!! So excited. It’s been far too long since I’ve been home.
Ding ding ding!
That's the PR bell ladies and gentlemen!
Marathon #12 was kicked in 3:45:20! I blew my last PR Out of the water by 12 minutes, and that was from when I was fresh out of college with no job and all the time in the world to train. Younger Me can't touch this!
My tribe was there for race weekend, and I ran in the same pace group as one of my teammates. We didn't talk at all. We barely ran side by side. At most we shared a sideways glance and a thumbs up around mile 10. It was beautiful.
Now I'm resting up and working on getting fat for the holidays. Training will start up in the new year, but for now I'm gonna relax and recharge. Shaving off 12 minutes was good, but I'm still far from where I want to be.
I guess this is an announcement? It's 78 degrees here and I'm in for a whole lot of change but graphic design and big cities and snowy days and higher education and good friends and new spaces and new friends await ✌🏻
Well. That was a short work week.
I worked this morning and found out my dad is having open heart surgery on Friday. So here I sit on a plane to make my way home to Boston.
I've been in and out of tears all day. He's stable and fine. He's actually at home, but he's in his early 70s and getting his chest cracked open so it's a big deal.
So I don't know how long I'll be staying. At least til surgery on Friday.
Maybe I'll get a nice cool run while at home.
Boston Bound
"I've never been on a train. I've been on flights, but never a train. Just thinking of getting on a train makes me queasy.
I wanted to surprise my niece for her birthday since I haven't seen her in almost 2 years. I new she would be happy to see me because of our inseparable bond we formed when I babysat her during the summer of 2022.
Every single flight to Boston was full, not even my brother could find a singular ticket, so the last resort was taking a 7 hour trip by train.
Boston, here I come!"
Guys.. it was the best fucking show!!! NIN🖤
