Red Sox 5, Orioles 0 (Game 1) : The Price Tag - David Price strikes out 10 in just 6 innings, Jackie Bradley Jr. homers twice & the Red Sox take game 1 of the doubleheader in Baltimore. Eduardo Nunez hits a 2-run shot (#7) off of O's starter Jimmy Yacabonis to break a scoreless tie & Bradley Jr. hits the first of his 2 homers (#10) in a 3-run 5th inning. Yacabonis allows 3 runs on 5 hits, he walks 0 & strikes out 2 in 4 2/3 innings of work. On top of the 10 K's, Price tosses 6 shutout innings, allowing just 5 hits & walking none. Xander Bogaerts scores on an error by O's 3B Renato Nunez in the 6th & Bradley Jr. homers for the 2nd time (#11) off of reliever Miguel Castro in the 9th as the Red Sox roll. Boston has won 8 of their last 9 & 12 of their last 14 to improve on the best record in the league. Baltimore is now 7-13 since the All-Star break, game 2 of the doubleheader would follow later on.
