Sammy Adams - All Night Longer
NEW MUSIC: Sammy Adams- All Night Longer Remix ft. B.O.B
NEW MUSIC: Sammy Adams - Jump
Sammy Adams - Homecoming (EP)
Review
I've been a fan of Sammy Adams ever since I first saw him on TV two years ago. Clinton Sparks was doing his weekly music peice on E! News, where he highlighted new music he liked. They played a snippet of Sammy's hit "Driving Me Crazy". I loved the song and immidetley bought it on iTunes. I went on to discover the rest of his album and fell in love with his song "Coast 2 Coast". The year after, Sammy released a great song called "Blow Up", which documented his desire for success.
A couple of singles and collabs later, Boston's Boy has released a new EP called Homecoming. If I had to describe the EP in three words, I would say it's gritty, tuneful, and well-written. Sammy has one foot in hip-hop and the other in pop. He has a great flow and some really clever verses, (she's a phantom, specially for the handsome, dressin' the wway she does, impressive the way she dancin'), and melody-driven, big, pop choruses.
The first track, "I Wish", (above) is an honest and reflective track. Very chill. It's a song for a leaning your head out the window on a long drive, or doing what Sammy does in the video. "Touch" is another great one. The chorus is easy enough to learn and fun to sing along to. "Kings" especially shows off Sammy's impressive singing voice. There's something about his voice that just makes all of his songs come together. "Awesome", is a tad kitschy. It's my least favorite on the album, but it isn't a bad song, the album is just too good, perhaps. "Waste", is an inspirational tune, while "Stop the Music", is a feel good, carefree party jam.
This is Sammy's best collective effort so far in his career. Hot, young, and talented..what more could you ask for? Looking forward to seeing Sammy on tour this winter!
