A visit to the farm! A Duiker suddenly came to meet us. After some encounters with the angry male ostrich at the water pump for Kameel Huise Tussen Spore, we decided to feed them mealies. During the mating season (June- November) the male ostrich's beak and legs turn red to attract the female for mating. He also turned into an agressive protector of his territory. He kicked our bakkie a couple of times and he makes a deep noise called a boom. For us it sounds like a roar of a lion. The little Crombec Longbilled / Bosveldstompstert is looking for food.
