"But you're so much more than a pretty face. You are warm, Aoife. That poor boy never stood a chance with you, did he? Not when everything he's never been given flows from you like a waterfall."

trusting 12, released on july 4, 2009, by irish singer-songwriter katie wilmot is the singer's debut album and an album for the decade. the album sold 20,000 copies in its first two weeks, and is still selling more.
the first single, electric touch was originally released acoustically through a myspace video posted by wilmot, and after inquiries by reekus records, was released internationally two months later under the label.
the next single from the album was take a shot, which was the first music video, which featured wilmot and her secondary school friends as they hang out at a pier, go to the movies and run around through the town centre of her hometown of ballylaggin.
the final primary single from the album was buckle, which wilmot has stated in interviews is her personal favourite song on the album. this song is my favourite because of how raw the emotions were behind recording it. i really did feel like a buckle on this person's belt and i was tired of the feeling and i put all my anger into my vocals for this song, wilmot said in an interview with totally dublin.
the album overall is a empathetic view into a teenage girl's mind and how wilmot's personal life has impacted her music.
