I had my first at 23 and started panicking and crying because i thought i was going blind. Luckily i had a nice co-worker who'd get aura migraines along with her regular migraine and she comforted me and told me it would pass after 30 mins or so. Used to get them a lot as a receptionist, maybe cause of how stressful that job was? Now that Ive switched to a more chill job i haven't gotten one in over a year. I've never seen a doctor about this, whatd yours say about it?
jeezers that must have been scary as hell! thank god you had someone there with you. I actually used to work as a receptionist too and oh boy, over the holiday seasons? I’d get them to the point where I was basically just pushing random buttons while checking people in and hoping I was hitting the right ones.
anyway, my doctor asked if I have a family history of migraines (I do) and when we figured out what it was she promptly took me off birth control - apparently this type of migraine combined with birth control pills (at least the ones I was taking) can lead to a higher risk of some types of blood clots. if you take any kind of meds that you think could interfere with it you might wanna ask your doctor, just in case!
