“Honestly, Kunikida, watching you scribble in that notebook is exhausting. Do you ever stop, or is your life just one endless checklist of misery?”

Kunikida:

adjusting his glasses sharply, glaring at Bram

“Unlike you, I don’t have the luxury of wasting time. My plans matter—each one brings us closer to a better world.”

Bram Stoker:

chuckling, his voice dripping with sarcasm

“A better world? How charmingly naive. I’ve seen centuries of people like you—so full of hope, so quick to break. What will you do when your plans crumble, planner?”

Kunikida:

grits his teeth but replies firmly

“Then I’ll rebuild them. As many times as it takes.”

Bram Stoker:

pauses, tilting his head slightly, amusement fading for just a moment

“…Stubborn little mortal. Hah. I’d say it’s admirable if it weren’t so exhausting to watch.”

Kunikida:

straightening with resolve, his expression unwavering

“Better to be stubborn than to give up, like you have.”

Bram Stoker:

eyes narrowing, a faint smirk returning to his lips

“Careful, Kunikida. I might just decide to eat that determination of yours. It seems like it would be a fine vintage.”

Kunikida:

sighs heavily, pinching the bridge of his nose

“I’m wasting my time arguing with a vampire…”

Bram Stoker:

grinning lazily, showing the faint gleam of his fangs

“And yet here you are. Admit it—you enjoy my company.”
