My Leopard, I’m happy to hear you’ve moved farther away from the fighting. I’m not thrilled about another man pretending to be your husband, but I know I don’t have to worry about you two being unfaithful. I hope this letter gets to you. I’m so worried I might say I’m scared. Can you imagine your shaggy wolf scared? It's been confirmed an informant reached our king, but he’s yet to formally contact our duke. His honor won’t allow him to lie to his ruler, but he won’t admit to anything he isn’t shown proof of. He’s never formally approved of our involvement and that will be his defense. 

You’ve probably given birth by the time you read this. I wish I could hold you, both of you. Protect you myself. I pray they have your hair. I'd be thrilled if they look like me but I pray they don’t. My leopard, I’ve never worried so much in my life. Sometimes it's hard to concentrate on anything else. I don’t believe he’ll kill me or our child if he finds out, but I don’t put it past his advisors.

Don’t worry about me, focus on our child. Your brother will keep me informed when he can.
