March 20th marks not only spring but the first Marot Mart Gang birthday of the year with Ledo, so happy birthday Ledo!!

As I’ve mentioned previously, I have come up with birthdays for everyone in the MM Gang cause it felt weird for only Varius to have one while the rest of the gang didn’t, and that simply wouldn’t do! I adore them all, they all deserve some love from me and what better way to do that than with birthday art!

If you can’t tell, I’ve been really excited about the first one to come around because this will be the first year I can celebrate all of them! By the time I’d thought to give them all birthdays last year, I’d already missed about half of them, and was too busy to do anything for most of the other half. Now though, I’ve got ‘em all figured out and they’re all getting art!! Another reason I’ve been so excited for this is because it finally gives me an opportunity to figure out my designs for everyone! These designs may be subject to some slight changes if I haven’t already solidified them by the time their birthday rolls around but these will essentially be how I plan to depict them!

Anyways, I really enjoyed getting to do Ledo first because he’s just great, his positive energy makes me happy :D His design was the one I’ve been looking forward to figuring out the most, so hopefully you guys like it as much as I do! (And we may or may not have another birthday coming up in a couple days so you guys can look forward to that as well 👀)

Luminous Stones - Ledo x reader

this has been sitting in my notes for a LONG TIME and i forgot about it until i went to add more requests... oops!

there was an entire conversation that went with this statement, simply because we love Ledo in this house. Rocky and i share a lot of thoughts on our beloved Zoras, and i love that we do. i always want to talk about them <3

so here’s a little something something :)

there was no denying it

you’re crushing

and you’re crushing HARD

Ledo’s always caught your eye

and you have to admit that this work in the domain is exquisite

each time you pass by him, you try not to stare

and every time, he greets you with a sing-songy “Hello, y/n!” 

it makes you blush

you’ve been trying to work up the courage to bring him the many Luminous Stones you’ve found 

but it’s proving difficult from your nerves

‘Maybe I’ll take these soon…’

the day comes

you finally haul LOADS of luminous stone to Ledo

“Hello, y/—”

his jaw drops

“Hi… I brought these for you.”

“I—”

he stutters for a moment, trying to find the right words

“You… you brought these… for me?”

and you nod with a slight smile, not making eye contact with the green Zora

“Wow… ummm, thank you!”

he doesn’t bother counting them like he usually does when someone brings him stones

he just smiles

and wow you love his smile

“Oh!”

he reaches into his tool bag and pulls out the prettiest diamond you’ve ever seen

kneeling down, he grabs your hand and places it gently into your palm

“It’s not much, but uhh… Thank you, y/n.” 

you can see his cheeks turning a pale shade of pink

but yours are bright red

‘A… a diamond?’

“What is it, y/n? Is something the matter?”

you look at Ledo with wide eyes

“Ummm…”

he cocks his head to the side, a little confused as to why you’re this nervous

“Umm, for Hylians, giving or receiving a diamond, especially diamond jewelry is considered a very romantic act.”

“Really?”

he’s fascinated by this bit of information

“Yeah. It’s mainly…”

he leans in closer

“It mainly signifies a proposal.”

it takes him a moment to register what you’ve said

but when it does, he quickly let’s go of your hand

“Oh, I— umm…”

his cheeks are as red as yours now

you’re both standing in the domain’s center, embarrassed as can be

you give a nod and a shy smile to Ledo before turning to leave

but…

“Hey, y/n?”

you turn around once again

“Would you want to get dinner sometime?”

your face lights up with excitement

“I know this is… umm… awkward, but I’ve been wanting to ask for a while, and… you know, this probably wasn’t the best ti—”

“I’d love to.”

his smile returns

and oh how precious it is

“Really?”

and you nod

“Really!”

you head home with the biggest smile

Zora Dating Headcanons: Ledo 🐟💚⚒️

Ledo is definitely outspoken and has ambition. I mean, who else calls out to a stranger from a river?

He is also a very disciplined Individual, as we can see from how highly he speaks about Fronk and Dento. Ledo is someone who takes respect seriously, and is a hard worker by nature.

He has a humorous side to him! He has so many running jokes he likes to involve you in. Anytime he counts something around you he raises his voice and goes “AND A OOOOONEE, AND A TWOOOO… THREEEE..” and so on. He does this just to make you giggle or roll your eyes, because he finds it cute when you give him even the slightest reaction.

Ledo is a craftsman by nature, and as such he would enjoy giving you things he makes.

As he hones his skills taught by Dento, he would practice making different intricate things such as jewelry or small luminous stone carvings when he isn’t working on any big projects for the domain. He would gift these items to you, hoping you’d like them. He might be a bit embarrassed over the slight flaws, maybe even going as far as to apologize and point them out to you. Of course, you’d hardly notice them and you don’t care if there are little flaws here and there because…well, he made this for you! Why wouldn’t you love it?

He would definitely be shy over those little imperfections but hearing your praise would make him 10x more motivated to keep harnessing his craft. In fact, you can bet your tail fins that this Zora is already sketching out each and every anniversary and holiday gift he has in mind just be BE SURE it will be perfect when the time comes!

He would definitely appreciate your company while he works. Some stonework is very tedious, but just having you sitting by him and watching him makes him enjoy the process even more. You two would share light conversation and maybe hum a song together. Bring him some lunch on the job and this Zora would be head over fins for you in a heartbeat!

As every Zora does, he loves to swim. Especially with you. I feel he would casually laze around the rivers with you, floating. Maybe some small splash wars, or observing local rock formations. I could also see him hiding in any river weed or foliage just to mess with you, as his green scales camouflage him. His favorite game is to hide against foliage and see if you can spot him. His golden eyes watching as you look around yourself and calling out to him, as he tries not to laugh.

Ledo is definitely a geology guy. Don’t even look at me and say he isn’t! He would gift you rocks he finds interesting, especially smooth river stones. Perhaps he would try to find one that matches your outfit or hair color, even eye color if he can find it! It’s definitely his way of trying to woo you subtly.

I feel Ledo is an affectionate Zora, and wouldn’t mind some appropriate PDA. Maybe not around Dento, as Ledo would try his best to be as respectful as possible… but this guy would love holding your hand whenever he can.

Chances are, unless you are Zora, Gerudo, or Goron (or maybe a tall Rito), you are shorter than him. And he will definitely tease you about that now and then. He just thinks its cute, even if you are a tall person. Zora appear to be at least 7 feet to me, so even if you are a tall human or hylian…. You’re short bro. He wouldn’t take it too far though, just enough to get a cute pout out of you.

Ledo seems like the type of person who handles arguments very well. He would do his best to communicate calmly, but if things escalate he is quick to back away and put a pin in it. He doesn’t want to yell or get angry, especially at you. He would want his space, maybe seeking out Dento or Fronk for some relationship advice. I could see him giving you the silent treatment in extreme cases, but only because he doesn’t know how to speak to you without the argument getting worse and he doesn’t want to snap and say something he doesn’t mean. Eventually, he’d come around and ask to talk to you privately. With most Zora, communication and honesty is important. He knows every sea has its storms, and he makes the best effort he can to work with you to solve any problems.

I feel like the main thing that would really be a deal breaker for him is if you disrespected his craft or his mentors. He had so much respect for his Master Dento, and his senior apprentice Fronk. If you were to talk badly about them, he would not let that slide.

Overall, dating Ledo would be fun, respectful, and peaceful. But it would definitely have its moments of mirth and adventure!

Hey! First time asking so im sorry if my ask isnt that good. I've been looking for Ledo boyfriend headcanons (Ledo from BoTW) is it okay of you could do some (im sorry >-<)

What are you apologizing for? You followed my ask guidelines, didn't ask for something that broke my ask guidelines and are super polite! There's nothing to apologize for.

Ledo as a boyfriend (BOTW)

Ledo is a very polite lad, he's sweet and genuinely well-meaning. He is also physically incapable of speaking to anyone he's attracted to for more than a minute. This is the type of lad that when struck with a crush his conversation skills get destroyed by an anvil. One look at his crush and their pretty smile and the way their eyes light up and he can't manage much beyond basic politeness.

Being in a relationship helps the communication skills a lot, but Ledo will always have this bit of shy sweetness to him. He's the sort to always ask if he can hold their hand, knowing damn well that the answer to that will always be yes.

If s/o is not a Zora, he's going to be shyly curious about their life experiences. He's interacted with a few simply because of being in the construction business; he knows more about Hylians after trading supplies with them so often. But finally being to ask someone is a very nice change for him, so on occasion he'll pop up with a shy question of his own.

So… I started a second BotW playthrough so I could map out travel routes/travel days for the fic.

And on the way to Zora’s Domain I decided to go about it by foot instead of, y’know, climbing the slippery mountaintops, continuously dying, and eventually gliding down to the tower, and guess what I discovered?? Ledo!!!!

The Zora you trade luminous stones to!!! He’s just chilling there in the marsh, waiting for you near a Bokoblin Camp!!!

And once you’re close enough he calls out to you and tells you to go to the tower and head for the bridge to meet the prince, and he’s so freaking cute alsjsksnsks like I can not reiterate how absolute adorable and polite he is. 💕

He points out the tower “over yonder” and turns back to Link and is like, “I see the question in your eyes. You’re thinking, “Why me” aren’t you? A perfectly reasonable reaction, being accosted by a passing Zora… but I assure you, there will likely be a generous reward if you do as such! It is a royal request from our prince, after all.”

And then he just… continues to swim around in the marsh. It’s so cute. 💕🥺💕
