this has been sitting in my notes for a LONG TIME and i forgot about it until i went to add more requests... oops!
there was an entire conversation that went with this statement, simply because we love Ledo in this house. Rocky and i share a lot of thoughts on our beloved Zoras, and i love that we do. i always want to talk about them <3
so here’s a little something something :)

there was no denying it
you’re crushing
and you’re crushing HARD
Ledo’s always caught your eye
and you have to admit that this work in the domain is exquisite
each time you pass by him, you try not to stare
and every time, he greets you with a sing-songy “Hello, y/n!”
it makes you blush
you’ve been trying to work up the courage to bring him the many Luminous Stones you’ve found
but it’s proving difficult from your nerves

the day comes
you finally haul LOADS of luminous stone to Ledo
“Hello, y/—”
his jaw drops
“Hi… I brought these for you.”
“I—”
he stutters for a moment, trying to find the right words
“You… you brought these… for me?”
and you nod with a slight smile, not making eye contact with the green Zora
“Wow… ummm, thank you!”
he doesn’t bother counting them like he usually does when someone brings him stones
he just smiles
and wow you love his smile
“Oh!”
he reaches into his tool bag and pulls out the prettiest diamond you’ve ever seen
kneeling down, he grabs your hand and places it gently into your palm
“It’s not much, but uhh… Thank you, y/n.”
you can see his cheeks turning a pale shade of pink
but yours are bright red
‘A… a diamond?’
“What is it, y/n? Is something the matter?”
you look at Ledo with wide eyes
“Ummm…”
he cocks his head to the side, a little confused as to why you’re this nervous
“Umm, for Hylians, giving or receiving a diamond, especially diamond jewelry is considered a very romantic act.”
“Really?”
he’s fascinated by this bit of information
“Yeah. It’s mainly…”
he leans in closer
“It mainly signifies a proposal.”
it takes him a moment to register what you’ve said
but when it does, he quickly let’s go of your hand
“Oh, I— umm…”
his cheeks are as red as yours now
you’re both standing in the domain’s center, embarrassed as can be
you give a nod and a shy smile to Ledo before turning to leave
but…
“Hey, y/n?”
you turn around once again
“Would you want to get dinner sometime?”
your face lights up with excitement
“I know this is… umm… awkward, but I’ve been wanting to ask for a while, and… you know, this probably wasn’t the best ti—”
“I’d love to.”
his smile returns
and oh how precious it is
“Really?”
and you nod
“Really!”
you head home with the biggest smile
‘Ledo… likes me! He likes me!’
and you can’t wait for the awkward conversations to come
