XF story idea?
I am listening to an FBI special agent discuss how he had to turn to novel writing because working in the Hoover building is so depressing. Hee!
Bonus kicker: he also says there are people working there who have been there so long they may be literal zombies.
The Second Half of the Year Has Begun–Already!
I’ve had a fun few weeks–including my usual writing. Plus, I heard that the Dog Writers Association of America, of which I’m a member, was looking for humorous articles for their upcoming issue of RUFF DRAFTS, their publication. . .

Year Progressing Fast
And March? It’s a good month for me. The third Shelter of Secrets story for Harlequin Romantic Suspense was just published: UNDERCOVER COWBOY DEFENDER. Two more books coming this year too.
It’s March already. Yes, the year is progressing fast. And it’s a bit different from the way it’s been for the past couple of years. And the winner is...
Bouchercon, the annual World Mystery Convention, was held this past weekend. Despite the change of venue from Sacramento to virtual due to the pandemic, the author panels and award ceremony went on as planned.
I’m thrilled to share that MYSTERY MOST EDIBLE, the mystery anthology to which I contributed my short story of suspense “Snowbirding,” won the 2020 Anthony Award for Best Anthology!
You can see the list of 2020 Anthony Award winners here. Congratulations to all!
