LORE TIME !!!! According to dungeon gossip, Birel Dullcoast used to be a wandering artist that traded his work for lodging or food. His lemur familiar helped win over clients by performing tricks or helping with the client’s chores. For an unknown reason, Birel delved into the dungeon and had apparently taken his own life. One of his previous clients, a sorcerer, decided to kill the lemur staying at Birel’s side and merge the two for yet another unknown reason.
Ever since then, murals in a similar art style to Birel’s have appeared in random spots in the dungeon (which only last a couple of hours before they are eaten by the dungeon cleaners).
Dungeon delvers that do stumble upon Birel are often aided by him, either with words of advice or support to the camp (chores, fetching supplies, moral boosts through his art!) He never lingers and usually leaves as soon as he’s fed. Witnesses often mistake his thick fur for body fat and recount how desperately he eats when served.
Random trivia !!!:
-Birel seems to know a lot about religions and magic, hinting at an educated arcane or religious background (though he does not practice any religion nor keep any gods).
-He is not picky, though he does love “food from his homeland,” or “any meals with spicy and refreshing ingredients.” (HISPANIC PPL UNITE 🇲🇽🇲🇽🇺🇸🇺🇸)
-His accent and name hail to a coastal southern region (though unlike any found in the Southern Continent).

-He prefers sleeping somewhere above ground and prefers sitting on the floor rather than sitting in a chair.
