This was my stained glass window of Boudicca for @earthmovesprojects at their site near Wallasey Village. The standing figure went over the edge of the glass onto the frame and she stands in the face of a fallen Roman Legionary. She has red hair and woad face paint (and, like much of my work she has a halo). She comes much more into her own with the sun showing through her. Re-visiting Norfolk

(According to the Arabic version of her story told by Al-Tabari, she was placed in charge of the family flocks and shepherds when she was a young girl and thereby grew used to ruling over men. Al-Tabari also claims that this is when she became adept at riding horses and learned the endurance and stamina she was later known for.
