BLESSED INDEPENDENCE DAY, #AYITI! . . . 🇭🇹#Haiti and the story of its 1804 Independence, in my opinion, is incredibly important to ALL black peoples of the world, especially black practitioners of #Hoodoo, #Rootwork, and #Conjure. . . . Why? Well, How was Haiti able to claim its independence over the 3 most bloodthirsty, greediest, & heaviest armed colonial power militaries of the time? #VODOU, boo. Knowing and keeping their Ancestral Religions close and in-tact was paramount to their success. It was the only way. . . . For the descendants of enslaved African people's in the U.S. -- we inherited 🕷"Hoodoo"🕷, a spiritual system that gives us tools for revolution and uprising, just like Vodou did for Haiti. . . . Yet, the white western marketeering of non-traditional Hoodoo products has watered down the black perception of our beloved Conjure. Made us think Hoodoo was 7 Day Love Candles and glittery jar spells, and not Revolution and fighting Racial Genocide. How convenient for them, eh? (Not for long). . . . Long story short, HOODOO HAS ALWAYS BEEN ABOUT 👏🏿RESISTANCE AND 👏🏿HEALING. Two hands. Both sides working nonstop to free #BLACKPEOPLE from enslavement. . . . I look forward to pushing that reminder in 2018 😋😙🙃. So #happygregoriannewyear and #KoupeTet #BouleKay Blitches! #AyiBobo
