Ruby and Blake don’t talk too often, but when they did back at Beacon, Blake found Ruby’s situation... interesting. Books that would help Ruby bridge the gap of skipping a year or two of school were moved into her possession. Attempts to break away from the sugared up coffee drinks were often met with little progress. Ruby’s optimism started to wear down Blake a bit, even to a point where she found Ruby’s look on life endearing.
