R, T, W for Fanfic Ask Meme :3
R: Are there any writers (fanfic or otherwise) you consider an influence?
Style wise?? Not really. Story wise?? James Patterson. Maximum Ride was my favorite book in high school, and ever since I’ve loved the idea of writing similar almost-but-not-quite-humans, whether they were made through science or magic.
Also (I’ve talked about this in the tags of a post before) back in middle school I fell in love with Eragon. Saphira was my favorite thing ever and she even inspired my first email address which I still use. Anyway, I’d heard that the guy who wrote it, Christopher Paolini, was only 15 when his book got published. Oh how young and foolish I was. I decided, “Hey, I want that,” and tried to do it, but ultimately failed. Now, I’ve kind of shifted from books to comics, but so far all I can do is draw my ocs in random situations.
T: Any fandom tropes you can't stand?
Fairy Tail. Lucy gets kicked out of Team Natsu because of Lisanna. Comes back stronger than ever. Blah blah blah. Ugh. You know what, just add any Lisanna-is-evil-and-mean-to-Lucy fics to that list.
W: Do you like more general prompts, or more specific ones?
Hmmm... I lean towards more specific ones. But like, not too specific?? I once got a request to write a Dragon Ball Z fic (lol it was a smutfic too) (wow im so mature) but like... the guy who requested it practically wrote it himself. Like, give me basic plot and a little freedom, but don’t just leave it at “Dinosaur AU” or something.
....I don’t think this answer makes since
