“Look it’s nothing personal, we just have a way of doing things around here” He was trying hard to be nice to the man, for Anna’s sake. Just because he was being nice doesn’t mean his eye wasn’t firmly placed on the other man. He wanted to know as much as he could about him before officially accepting him into the community. “It’s just a few questions we do when someone shows up here, we need to know people’s intentions. We’ve had a few bad ones come through and it’s my duty to protect these people”
