My Mettaton cosplay has always been inspired by Bowie, his makeup, and his fashion. Glam Rock is a large part of my identity and how I show up in the world. There is beauty in the unconventional, and David Bowie encouraged artists of all sorts to embrace their individuality.
Ten years, what a surprise.
The news shook us all. There was confusion, sadness, outrage, and finally, acceptance. Blackstar had been his goodbye to us all along.
It is hard to believe he has been gone for that long, but it does not feel like he is truly gone. His impact is still felt to this day. His records have never stopped turning. His words have never lost their meaning. He continues to be the voice that advocated for change.
