SPIT IT OUT!
"I killed your mother."
??
Send me a ?? for a thought my character has had about yours that they’d never admit.
She reminds me so much of her mother. It hurts to look at her.
Little Liar Tilda - {Battle of five armies}
So I wrote this little drabble, then I thought it does not sound like an eight year old girl speaking, but I didn't want to delete it and I had no clue how to make it sound more like Tilda. So here, have it anyway while I ponder on how to change it. (Feedback would be much appreciated :D) Some things referenced in here (like the slingshot or Tilda speaking to Fili) happened in threads, not in canon.

"Sigrid" Tilda whispered, it was all the little girl could do to not break down in tears. "I have to tell you something" Oh, how she hoped her big sister was not too angry with her.
Sigrid always mended Tilda's clothes and everything the little girl was wearing went through the hands of her sister first. She knew that it took the older much time and patience to keep everything clean and intact. Not an easy task if you considered how much time she and her brother Bain spent outside, running through Laketown.
However this time it had not been Tilda's fault, not in the least. "Tobi was mean to me and I wanted to --" She began explaining before sniffing loud "He tackled me and I fell, and, and --" and I ripped the pretty dress you gave me. The one mother used to wear. The one you changed for me.
He was under no delusions that the upcoming conversation was going to be an easy one. Bard toyed with the cup in his hands as he watched the door. A part of him wanted to wait a little longer before he broke the news, but procrastination never got anyone anywhere. Still..Bard sighed and took a long pull from the cup, he felt as if he would much rather face down another dragon.
bowmansdaughter replied to your post:I really wonder how Bard is going to tell his...
//Try it. I dare you…
Well..can't ever resist a good dare. So I guess I will XD

"Sigrid! I missed you!"Tilda said, running to hug her older sister, small hands clutching on to the older girl’s dress as if she feared she might disappear.
"Is Bain with you?"she asked hopefully.
"I.. feel ill."
"Are you alright, Sigrid?” asked the blacksmith elf who was working in Dale for the past few months. He looked at the girl with concern as he placed his hammer down and stepped away from the forges to go to her side.
