://NHP-NOAH-Burnice: Hello, friends of the Omni-Net and [[potential valued customers]]! I am Burnice, as I am hopeful you are aware.
://NHP-NOAH-Burnice: There has been a mild disagreement among senior leadership in the [[Bowshocks]] as to who should receive the honor of showing you what our operations are like and who we are. I personally do not hold much weight in the matter but I hope this can be resolved in time. [[USER_ID_IRONSHOT]] would have loved to show you the local community, but unfortunately his journey for provisions conflicted with [[combat drills]] with [[USER_ID_SURESHOT]] and [[USER_ID_MOONSHOT]]. For this, he sincerely apologizes, and endeavors to bring you to the local market at a later time. Sureshot would like a longer form timescale with the audience than the current time allowed, and [[USER_ID_BUCKSHOT]] meanwhile...has yet to show an interest in the concept. They were not forthcoming on why, but this is in line with their behavior profile up to this point in their recovery.
In light of this, we shall instead be continuing a tour of the [[Bowshocks Facilities]].
[The camera switches to the front of the facility; which is fairly non-descript, as befitting it's history as a shipping depot. One notable addition; made in stone, is a large overhang with a large, central plinthe about twenty feet from the doors. Upon this plinthe rests a SALADIN-class mech; heavily painted and customized, with flames painted on the shoulders and chest that harken back to a pre-fall hobby. While impressive, it is clear that a steady addition of weather, sand, and salt have done a number on the paint. In front of the plinthe is a scattering of various flowers and photos of the various members of the Bowshocks with a bright-red haired woman; though Moonshot and Buckshot are conspicuously absent.]
://NHP-NOAH-Burnice: While we largely avoid any traditions that are not immediately personal to our mercernaries, we are not entirely without ritual. One of them happens to be in honor of our founder. Who was...
[There is a long pause, her professional tone becomes notably more somber, slightly emotional.]
://NHP-NOAH-Burnice: ...is...missing in action to this day. Their mech, shown here, was the only thing she left us. Wherever she may be, we recognize her here for what she is; Our leader; far out ahead of us. Holding the world on her shoulders, and us. A hero among heroes.
://NHP-NOAH-Burnice: What you see here, is our namesake; SALADIN-Class: {{=BOWSHOCK=}}. It sits here, awaiting the day it may join it's brethren in the hangar, while we await it's owner's return. Even now.
[Another long pause. The camera switches to show Burnice, staring up at the unmoving monolith of steel and potentially hardlight. She sits unmoving, looking...perhaps longingly? onto the orphaned SALADIN.]
://NHP-NOAH-Burnice: ...I would like to move on. We are moving on.
[A hard cut away. This time an interior shot of the building; presumably in the living quarters. Burnice moves at a brisk, professional pace, moving past what appears to be a number of fairly obvious amenities; a slightly smaller kitchenette, what appears to be a simulator room, a server room that appears to have some form of digital camoflage over it, and stops just outside a small gymnasium, which appears to have a couple of the Bowshocks; Sureshot and Ironshot, within doing some form of training.]
://NHP-NOAH-Burnice: The needs of a Lancer are extensive, but our facility's size comparative to our actual team size allow us the unique opportunity to both keep spare parts readily available for use in the hangar bay, but also to ensure that any personal needs of the team are met; such as fitness stations. This one in particular has been outfitted for strength training, with other stations not too far off for dedicated services. This compartmentalized design allows us to remain flexible in our needs without having to make sacrifices elsewhere; the best Lancers are prepared ones, after all!
[The camera slightly lists to the right, just barely revealing that one of the two occupants of the gym is being watched with great interest by Trickshot before she notices and gives a surprised yelp, which immediately follows another cutaway. Burnice is sitting at a kitchen counter, hands of the subaltern clasped in a very practiced pose. It's clear she wants to look as professional as possible.]
://NHP-NOAH-Burnice: With this small continuation of our tour, I am afraid that will have to do for right now. We again, apologize for the inconvenience, and I suppose we ought to show our rates for specific mission types here. I will reconvene with senior leadership and hopefully we may have this issue resolved by the time we-
:///Glamourshot: Oh let them fight, Burnie dear.
[A woman with blonde hair with dark red highlights enters the scene from behind her, holding an empty wine glass. She does not address Burnice directly, talking and pouring from what looks to be a fairly expensive bottle. She speaks authoritatively, quick and assertively, and punctuates her words with little flourishes of the hand and head. Not necessarily like a noblewoman, but more like a pre-fall starlet.]
:///Glamourshot: We've been at best mere security guards for the planet for the past couple of weeks and really, who's coming to a chain of island paradises to set up a bootcamp or a mining settlement? We're all itching for a little action, so why not let Trickshot and Longshot bicker for just a bit longer. Besides, it's a small drop of nostalgia for me to have competing suitors! Even if they're both just common mercenaries. Both certainly with their own unique..."charms". Though of course compared to...one of Them...I suppose one could do worse indeed.
[There is the sound of something sharp running across a glass surface which briefly peaks the microphone, causing the display on Burnice's subaltern to briefly flicker. Glamourshot turns, a practiced, eerie smile as she advances back towards Burnice's Subaltern and the camera, much less the casual march of before; much more slowly. Much less dramatic gesticulations of a noble woman...more the eerie practiced movements of someone who needs to appear normal.]
:///Glamourshot: Passion for something so small because this little motley crew we've assembled means so much to them is just...transcendent, I tell you. It's a rare thing indeed; a concept utterly foreign to those interstellar vermin and their diseased, depraved little society~. A lady could only be so happy to see a simple, hardy pair of ne'er-do-wells struggle, thrive, and survive to compete for her undivided attention and for the ideals of the little club they let little old me into. Don't you think so?~
[An uncomfortable silence as she leans on the counter to stare directly into Burnice's facsimile of eyes. Unblinking. Smile beginning to curl a bit too wide to be mere teasing of her squadmates. There's a mild venom of annoyance...and perhaps something worse behind it.]
://NHP-NOAH-Burnice: ...Your opinion is noted, Glamourshot. I will allow them to make a decision.
[The response seems to register as a positve for Glamourshot, who straightens herself up and puts a hand on her hip, as though she'd always been standing as such.]
:///Glamourshot: Burnie, please. We're not work colleagues. Do you see any corporate logos anywhere that weren't penned by you? Any meetings we're putting off? We're like a family here, and as family I simply beg you as I've begged you before; call me Clarissa.
://NHP-NOAH-Burnice: Of course, Clarissa.
:///Glamourshot: Thank you. And if it isn't too much trouble, could I steal you away for a moment or two? I believe I'd like to see that uniform again; there was something about the collar. Might've been the rain but I must ensure that everything is perfect before we roll them out to the rest of the squad.
://NHP-NOAH-Burnice: Of course, this can be arranged.
:///Glamourshot: Wonderful! I'll see you soon. You and your little camera~...Actually, yes, bring that along. I want to see that collar from the other side.
://NHP-NOAH-Burnice: I...see. It appears that I have been called away. So I shall leave it here. Please remember that we are readily available for service!
