Oryx and Crake is the number one book I recommend for everyone to read. Hands down. Just. I can't even BEGIN to express.

best end of the world book best anything best everything.

crake who is irredeemable, who is unapologetic and cold and so smart that he built himself up into an unmerciful cruel god and succeeded but in so many ways failed, too, who brought on the flood and crafted perfection but forgot that as long as there are humans, whether from a lab or from a womb, there is humanity. 

and jimmy-as-snowman, snowman-as-jimmy, with crake’s mission on his shoulders, trapped in the aftermath of a nightmare he couldn’t have stopped, living with the ghosts of a life he never liked to begin with in a world he never really understood. jimmy who is simultaneously a shepherd and a saint. jimmy who loved crake like a brother and then couldn’t escape him, who loved oryx until she wasn’t a woman to him anymore at all so much as she was a dream. 

and beautiful, smart, ineffable oryx, who is a daughter of the fucked up world as it really is if there ever was. who pulled and clawed her way through the system from the very bottom and was more real than either jimmy or crake ever realized.

Oh god, um. Probably Calien. The fact I can still drop into his mindset without any effort in spite of not really playing him actively for close to four years?? now? Yeah.

4. If there was anywhere you could go in the world, where would you go?

Maldives!! There's a resort there that is like, houses on the water and you can't have contact with the outside world and you're not allowed to wear shoes and I just want to go and sleep there for like a month.

Lead writer for a Bioware game. I'll even settle for just "video game writer".

Have you ever drawn a full outfit design of your Beforus Eridan? I'm thinking about cosplaying Eridan and fancy beforus eridan might be super cool to do.
