here's a new boxcanon guy!! its an update on claydale as they are both based off of a friend ive known for a couple years now. my perception of them has changed so their character did too

the question of what was under fuzzmalkin's shades came up in a discord server and well. one of my friends edited this

finally got around to designing an outfit for king barqfizz and making it more obvious which version is which. the main thing is the ears bc boxcanon fizz has the same yellow hoodie; he does, however, keep the strings at the same length, unlike syrupverse fizz

BOXCANON is the name i gave to a different version of barqfizz, who was originally created for a discord roleplay (called fuckerbox, hence the name). all the designs under the boxcanon tag were created for my friends. art posted about them are derived from the dynamics/events of that server, and all of them are played by different people.

in fuckerbox (which wasn't created by me by the way), the idea is that the roleplay is a massive crossover. anything goes and anything can happen. barqfizz is a part of a pocket universe where he is the king of the other characters. its very very vaguely implied that barqfizz created these characters himself out of loneliness.

SYRUPVERSE is the name of the universe barqfizz is actually FROM. i started getting really into the idea of his character and didn't feel like bugging my friends for content so i created a story for him with different characters, most of which aren't based off people i know. here's what makes the versions relevant to this blog: they are both canon in syrupverse. barqfizz has the ability to travel between them at will, but there is only one of him—there is no possibility of him "meeting" the other version of himself. he assumes the role of the universe he travels to and (usually*) cannot bring things from one to the other. he actually announces his departures in fuckerbox, but under guises that his friends would better understand:

(the chief executive is qtip, who ive posted about before. interestingly enough, he has the ability to leave and return to the boxcanon at will. other characters from this universe have shown to have a similar ability, but he does it the most frequently, implying he has a better understanding of it...but thats something for another post)

in syrupverse, barqfizz has the tendency to just go missing. he lets taubasco know beforehand that he'll be leaving, but never specifies for how long or where he goes. so far, no one knows that he has this ability in either canon.
