Boxing Octopus is a six-strong band from Herne Bay. There were two reasons I wanted to review these two tracks: 1) as something of a linguist, I believe a band’s name is its primary front, and will always be a first impression – Boxing Octopus as a name had me very interested indeed; 2) they describe themselves on their Facebook page as “Jazzy funky folk rock”.
