Structure of The New Fiberglass Honeycomb Panel
The new thermoplastic fiberglass honeycomb panel is manufactured using CFRT (Continuous Fiber Reinforced Thermoplastic) skins combined with a polypropylene honeycomb core.
Unlike conventional “skin-core-skin” fixed structures, this advanced system allows different CFRT layer configurations, fiber orientations, and honeycomb core densities to be selected according to actual vehicle body requirements, achieving the ideal balance between structural performance and lightweight design.
Compared with traditional thermoset FRP honeycomb panels bonded by adhesives, this thermoplastic fiberglass honeycomb panel adopts a thermal lamination process for integrated bonding, effectively avoiding common delamination and cracking issues during long-term use while greatly improving structural reliability and service life.
