@boyacts sent an ask!! :: 🌻 a worried text.
Worried hazel green eyes stared down at her dinged up cell phone, as she sat on a bench near a bus stop. The phone’s screen was covered in dirty finger prints and the case looked like it had been through a hail storm --- it being covered in dents and scratches. If the phone wasn’t turned on, one might think it was broken.
About an hour ago, Annaleigh sent a text to Chad, asking him to come and pick her up. She needed him to take her somewhere --- the free clinic --- , and she didn’t have many contacts in her prepaid phone. Chad said he would come and get her, but he hadn’t shown up yet.
Annaleigh didn’t know what was taking him so long and she was starting to get worried. He had said he would be here in a half hour and it was long past that. Had he gotten stuck in traffic? Or had something bad happened to him? This side of town was known for crime and she heard sirens come by the movie theater most nights. She hoped he hadn’t gotten hurt on the way here.
She clicked the messages button on her phone and clicked on Chad’s name, checking the messages for what felt like the millionth time. Nothing. Annaleigh was starting to wonder if she should message him to see what was taking so long. Maybe he was in trouble somewhere and needed her help?
[Text :: Chad] Where are you? Are you okay? [Text :: Chad] It’s been over an hour. [Text :: Chad] Please message me back, I’m getting worried.
After she finished typing the messages, she hit the send button. Annaleigh knew she shouldn’t be using up her minutes like this, but she really needed to know if he was okay and if he still planned on coming. If not, then she supposed she could go to the free clinic on her own, but she would feel much better if she had a friend with her. Which is why she’d texted him in the first place.
