Some interesting reading for you all on this fine Sunday afternoon. #AnimeMatsuri is the (self-reported) largest anime convention in the state of Texas, and has one of the highest prices for both single day and full weekend badges.

It's also the only major Texas convention that DOESN'T guarantee complimentary badges for attendees who provide panel content.

Keep in mind this is a for-profit convention that has reported attendance growth of over 20% every year for the last five years straight.
