          every student in the school saw her as a GENIUS, knew her as the girl with all the answers. but they often overlooked the amount of work she put in to get to where she was, most days, she ran on two hours of sleep, caffeine, and pure determination. sleep deprivation, however, wasn’t something she could run from forever. she picked up her head, dark circles under her eyes and the tickle that hinted to a coming cold in her throat, as she spoke.

boydrawn / wanted a thing. 

“hello! my backpack has a bunny’s face!” if they were being technical, it wasn’t really his backpack. he had been told that he could keep it so he could only assume that it was 'his' bag. what Shai didn't seem to understand was the fact that he couldn't randomly go up to strangers to talk about the said bag. it didn't matter how excited he was about it.

          He had gotten a text from a very familiar name ( Andrew ). August typed a quick message back before dialing the number. Waiting for it to be answered, “I’m coming over. Do you want any snacks?” Even if the other said no -- he would still bring some ( he wanted some, to be honest ).

‘ hey, dad ?? ‘ andrew fidgets in place, holding something behind his back. ‘ um....i-i drew this for you. as....a gift. i hope you like it. ‘ he presents a picture of a sunflower field tall against a blue sky with a kind smile.

       ❝   this is beautiful,   andrew.   ❞   he takes a hold of the drawing with a good amount of caution   –   he’d hate to wrinkle or crumple something clearly made with love,   especially when his son worked so hard to make it.   ❝   i’ll have to get a nice frame for this   –   it’ll look lovely hanging in the foyer,   don’t you think ?   such a masterpiece needs to be on display for everyone,   i should think.   ❞
