i just saw ur post about the incoming freshmen thing and honestly my biggest fear is that high school is gonna be so much stuff all the time that i wont be able to do social media stuff like tumblr, twitter, etc. did you still manage to find time for that stuff while in high school or is it only like a weekends/vacation/summer time thing that u do now?
i was definitnely able to keep up with fandom stuff however when i started high school smartphones were not a thing, not popular yet anyway. we all had flip phones without internet (theres a buzzfeed video about teenagers with old phones the motorola razr was goals at the time that was the coolest phone out there) and if you were super cool a sliding phone also without internet. i was really only into fandom stuff i.e.1d my senior year of high school which ppl think would be the hardest but its not its easier than freshman year to an extent. i had a total of 3 text books where as freshman year my backpack weighed 30 pounds easily
i would say concentrate on school as much as possible and try to make the fandom stuff a back burner kind of thing. You don’t wanna do poorly freshman year bc then your GPA will be much harder to get up to something that colleges want my cousin had this issue where she didnt really pay attention her first two years and had to work extremely hard junior and senior year
Bc now schools have WIFI all over the place albeit shitty wifi but its there and kids have smartphones now and im also sure stricter rules on cell phones jsut try to pay attention in class dont read fic with a perfect set up of a book with a binder on top it and your phone under the binder in econ Keep it in your locker if you can or your backpack and not your pocket. also go to sleep at a decent hour dont stay up because theres drama happening in the fandom your schooling and consequently your future depend on high school more so than what happened with a boyband in the middle of the night
