Aiden didn't care that he was the newest beta to join the pack, in all honesty he felt like he shouldn't of joined, but there was safety in numbers right? The only thing he didn't mind of this 'pack' was that he didn't have to get hazed into it, as it doubled as a fraternity. The only downside he could think of was coming to this run down house every month, it honestly looked like it would fall apart at any moment and yet his frat brothers, more or less his alpha insisted they come. 'it's been in the Alpha Kappa Tau since it was founded!' He was told, though he didn't seem to believe that, the pack didn't only consist of werewolves, there was a few human members too though Aiden didn't know if they were asked to be turned or if they were close enough friends to be brought into the circle.
As he was unpacking, since they tend to stay in the house a few day after their 'cycle' had run it's course they would head back to campus and try to live their normal lives, it wasn't all bad, Aiden did like majority of the brothers in the pack some shared the same interests while other were just out there and learned to keep an arms length while talking to them. As the sun began to dip below the horizon all he could think about was the full moon, which was still several hours away, which meant his transformation could happen at any moment now. Aiden could hear his alpha speaking to the other betas as he tried to tune them out, but nothing he did seemed to work and he just figured he would eavesdrop on their conversation.
After a few corny jokes, followed by even more corny punch lines he could hear the tone become more serious. A pledge would be blindfolded and brought to the house, not just any pledge, a human pledge, the only pledge Aiden couldn't keep himself from. Spending most of his time avoiding him, his smell, his body, his attitude, the list could go on. But now Aiden's worry got to him, he would be confined to the house with him. Hearing the frats hazing plan of possibly turning the pledge only pushed Aiden further down the rabbit hole, even though the moon wasn't out yet, he could feel it's effect already twisting, turning the beast that lived under his skin. "I can't stay here." He managed to whisper loud enough just so if anyone was listening they could here him.
He managed to shove his clothing back into his suitcase, walking to his room's door it was already to late, he could hear tires squealing as they made the turn before the road transitioned from pavement to dirt, the pledge would be here any moment and Aiden needed to be gone before then. He raced down the stares as he made his way to the door, he had ran out of time, he could hear the roar of the engine enter the driveway and the key from the ignition yanked out of its holding, for a brief second he couldn't hear anything, smell anything, let alone sense anything. "Maybe there was a mix up." He tried to reassure himself, "Maybe they grabbed Douglas... Or Quinn. Anybody but... Him..." His hand clutched to the doorknob and forehead placed on the cold layer of paint all he could hear was shuffling inside the car, and then a loud pop. "Please... Anyone BUT him..." The car's door had opened and he could smell it, instantly he knew who the pledge was, baring his teeth Aiden let a low growl escape. It was him. Brody.
