Taken two years back in #imphal on my way to #loktaklake. Making such baskets out of #bamboo is quite common in #northeast_india. Found some old images on an old hardrive I took while in highschool. I believe it was an older Sony digital camera, threw em in Lightroom and added a grain effect.

That gleam in the eye's as someone stops to capture your innocence through his lens, the innocence becoming discernible in the twinkle of eyes and toothless smiles, as someone gets down to play your games; to strike a conversation, where giggling gestures are your words, the nimbleness of your lungs breaking into a hearty laughter are your expressions - there a single question hangs, and sees through your soul - Hail you O traveller, what treasure hath thou brought for us, when you take our smiles, our songs, and capture the sublime beauty of our lands!! There is a travellers debt we have to pay, what we bring, and what we take needs a debate. How can you value these moments, they have a halo around them in which you live, how can you value life, lest pay back for the value these lands and moments give you.
