when i say i'm enamoured of yeralti, i mean the storytelling, comedic segments, soundtracks, power dynamics, compelling characters and peak dialogues. it's a beautiful work of art. who would have thought that one could get to see talent and elegance adorning the screen like old turkish tv mixed with tension, yearning, fierceness, oozing charisma, unpredictable action, excellent narration, family ties, philosophy and sparks of reminder in an era of youth misguidance. after ezel, asi, merhamet, kuzey guney, vatanım sensin, ask i memnu, samanyolu, muhtesem yuzyil, calikusu, kara sevda, adini feriha koydum, lale devri, yaprak dokumu, gonulcelen, ask ve ceza, ufak tefek cinayetler, menekşe ile halil, beyaz gelincik, sila, kurtlar vadisi pusu, yer gök aşk, oyle bir gecer zaman ki, karadayi, gümüş, medcezir, gunesi beklerken ... no new-age drama has captivated me as yeralti. it's a masterpiece. every scene, every second is worth watching. i really hope they don't ruin the suspense by replicating excerpts from other ongoing dramas. i really, really hope the directors, writers, and producers don't listen to the negative stuff from some keyboard male-celeb-centered fans who felt jealous (bitter) about a beautiful actress portraying the main lead and doing justice to the role. ceylan is perfect, as a protagonist, she is supposed to seem somewhat insufferable, secretive, self-reliant, mysterious, cold and melancholic for a reason. what she experienced at the restaurant with aslan and how she ended up now with bozkurt, are traumatic events. giving her a little bit of grace, patience and understanding until her journey and path is revealed. she reminds me of eysan from my favourite series in this galaxy which is ezel, a real yearner. i love seeing defiant yet sorrowful fictional characters who took a wrong route to save their family or loved ones and wish them a very happy ending in their world and a parallel universe. can't wait to see the rage and softness it takes to gain joy after all that sacrifice. i must say i adore each actress(actor)in the team, precisely talented cast of yeralti and gorgeous people. excited to discover character developments and downgrades and also the creative plot twists.
