[ LOG #1 - 9/24/2025 ]
Welcome to the first “log” of the project. I’m going to be calling it just a “project” for a while, mostly because I actually still don’t know what medium to even tell this story through!
The current candidates are:
<1> Some kind of game (or game-like thing?)
<2> A written story, which would probably get posted on Ao3
<3> [INSANE OPTION] A film series
<4> Something else
At the moment, with my current skills, 2 is technically the easiest option. 3 would be awesome, but I have NONE of the things I’d need to pull that off in a way that does any of my ideas justice, (money, money, and money), so unfortunately that’s only a distant dream right now. On the other hand, I do have the resources to successfully make 1 a reality, although it probably would take a lot more time to accomplish than 2.
But with most of these options, I still have a bit of a problem: they just don’t let me do everything I want to do.
Writing it and posting it: while I can convey the visuals if I write it well enough, I won’t be able to make many cool effects happen.
Making a game: allows me to do cool effects, but still restricts the visuals because I’m not talented enough to do anything except something that looks more like Undertale/deltarune. (Which I can do, sort of… here’s some talk sprites I made today to practice!)
Movie(s): allows me to do most of the stuff I want to do in terms of visuals and effects, but there’s not really much I can do to allow the audience to actually interact with the world and characters the way I’d be able to in a game format.
…So, if I want to make this work… I’ll have to either come up with something else or make a game.
