We deal with similar stuff, and it can be caused by all sorts of disorders and brain things, but its called disassociation. (If you look it up and its not what youre experiencing, let me know!)

dissociation doesnt sound like its the right thing??? i know that i often have dissosciative episodes (not as often anymore luckily) but this is more of a mental brain block where my head feels full of cotton or just white noise that i can’t think through and i have trouble forming coherent thoughts and finding words and i do believe that it makes me less intelligent than i am because i simply can’t access the knowledge

ok out of non fandomy music (or maybe include it??) what genre would u say u enjoyed the most

oh man i dont know if i can pinpoint what music i like to a particular genre. what mostly matters is if i can associate something with the song and if it gets my imagination going, which is why most of the shit i like is fandom music. a lot of songs i like tend to be a bit faster paced(not always tho), have a strong beat, and if theres violins/cellos thats a great bonus. also if theres lyrics its usually about fighting or darker themes, because i just CANNOT relate to love songs at all. my music taste is just really odd and picky which is why its so rare to find things i enjoy. heres some of the stuff i like
