We got our hands on some of the video footage from the Mercedes-Benz shopping spree we had back in May! A big thank you to Mercedes-Benz Canada for spoiling us & to Lavish & Squalor for closing the store down for us. We had a blast!

BTheFace - a VIP Access to 'Cats' in Toronto
In Grade 5 I found the stage, and have loved the spotlight every since. For a long time, I thought this was a bad thing, but then realized it is one of the unique things about me - I can handle a crowd.
At the wee age of 10 I was in my very first play, a pantomime, "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" and I was the Forest Fairy - but I took my rhyming lines and turned the little forest fairy role into the RAPPIN' Forest Fairy!
It was memorable - if not for the crowd then definitely for me (let's be honest... cough20+cough years later, I'm still thinking back to it.
From there I grew as a performer, I continued to act on stage in Community Theatre groups from the comedic pantomimes, to more serious roles (like Rhoda - an 8 year old murderess in The Bad Seed) to a commercial that aired in the States in Grade 8.
Things took a bit of a turn away from professional acting for personal reasons, but that didn't stop me from getting involved with the high school shows, leading to performing as Anne in my Grade 12 Musical Anne of Green Gables, and Improv "Riot" in University... you ready for this?
Yup.. that's me in my first year of University! ha ha Ohh the Memories!
Speaking of Memories - I was invited to see 'Cats' In Toronto thanks to Mercedes-Benz Canada's BTheFace Campaign! I LOVE Andrew Lloyd Webber's work - in face when my mom and I travelled to the UK, wemade sure we took in a show... The Phantom Of The Opera - but that's a side note - anyway, I jumped at the chance to go!
The 4 ambassadors were invited to opening night and unfortunately I was in the UK for the night (what a tough life eh?) so I missed opening night, but they made sure we still had some exclusive access and the Cats crew treated us like stars!!
I took my brother's Fiance Laura (we needed some girl time) and we had a blast! When we arrived, we had our photo taken with the Mercedes-Benz 2013 B-Class Catsmobile:
Then at intermission & this was a first... we were allowed to go up on stage and take photos not only of the set (which is usually totally prohibited at theatres due to copyright laws I believe) but also with one of the cats, Old Deuteronomy !!
Laura and I with Old Deuteronomy above, and Charles (Mr. BAdventurous) and I with Old Deuteronomy (who by the way is giving a peace symbol... what a smart cat) below:
The show ended with an invite backstage where we were spoiled enough to meet the "Cats Cast"
So thank you to the cast for staying in your costumes and make up a little longer for us!!
Then it ended with some shots with the Mercedes-Benz poster :)
The night was so so SO much fun - especially for a theatre junkie like myself!! Thank you so much Mercedes-Benz Canada - you put on a purrrrrrdy good time ;) (Sorry.. I had to fit a lame pun in there somewhere!)
Until next time,
me.
You Never Appreciate What You've Got... Til It's Gone
I recently got back from Great Britain (yes photos to come... there are roughly 900 I have to go through so please be patient!) and the biggest challenge over there was driving. You may already know, but if you don't... their cars are 'backwards' by the rest of the world's standards. The driver is on the right hand side of the car, and you drive on the other side of the road as well.
We were in a rental car, so unfortunately, I was not in Bee while I was over there (I think shipping her 'across the pond' back to where she came, would have been a million times more than the trip itself) - and the rental car was pretty nice, but it felt wide in comparison to the tiny roads England and Scotland have.
It made me realize one of the safety features I LOVE about the 2013 B-Class, and other Mercedes-Benz cars as well: Lane Assist.
What is this? It's a sensor that detects when you start to cross over the lines that give you the parameters of your lane. If you start drifting, the steering wheel vibrates as if to say "HEY! Watch where you're going"! Once your turn signal is on & you properly indicate you are turning, or changing lanes, the lane assist is deactivated and the steering wheel will not vibrate. How smart is that? In England and Scotland, the lanes were TINY and because we were used to driving on the other side of the car, both my mom and I would continually drift to the left (there were some curbs mounted and some bushes trimmed unintentionally) and the lane assist would have been an amazing feature to help us keep our eyes on the road and our car in the lane. Just another reason I LOVE the 2013 Mercedes-Benz B-Class! More pics to come of Bee soon :)
Andi hopped in Bee and texted me to test the neat Bluetooth feature - where her text can be read on the screen! Only in a B-Class!
