I just answered this but I shall answer it differently this time, because I own and have read many books and many of them are of the ~hidden gem variety SO
H: okay so Diana Wynne Jones did this thing where she wrote a series of short books for children titled The Chronicles of Chrestomanci and SO there is a volume entitled Volume 2, yes okay, and that has two of the stories together in one volume and IT IS THE BEST THING. The stories are called The Magicians of Caprona and Witch Week and do you have any idea of how formative this book was for me DO YOU EVEN.
