Last Lunesday of the Week
Not much to say here. Trying to ramp down on crafting and ramp up on writing.
Reading:
Still chewing away at Princess of Mandalore, which has acquired editors (fifty chapters in!) and mostly manages to have standards-compliant English, aside from odd tense choices. The plot also continues to be interesting: a Mandalore-focused retelling of the Clone Wars, with bonus jumpchained Japanese Salaryman.
I finally gave up on reading @val-and-isaac via the Tumblr website while logged out on a phone, and threw it into my RSS feed reader.
Not much else, really. Chowing down on Princess of Mandalore is taking a lot of time.
Watching:
Disappointed to see that Star Wars: Ahsoka has no more episodes left this season
Chewing away at Kino's Journey, in the sub, just as a background-noise thing while making dinner.
Probably going to start rewatching Gundam Zeta next month, just for the aesthetics.
Writing:
NaNoWriMo starts later this week; I'd like to get at least one more chapter of Gundam Iliad written by the end of the month. But I am a Planner, not a Pantser, and so the big blocker at the moment is "what order are the scenes in"?
Crafting:
Paused the Frogpad keyboard project because I am no longer staring down a period of obligate onehandedness.
Still fiddling around with the cyberdeck project's hardware, but I'm at the point where display-driver issues are probably going to force me to rebuild it with a different display, meaning a different CM4 carrier board, meaning a different case.
Working on Version 2 of my Turaga Vakama costume, aiming for something that doesn't hang off the front of the face like a limpet. Have a revised snout for the Huna ready for a print, and as a test I'm going to do some light papercraft as the base for this mask. If it works out well, I might try to do it in sheet metal. Won't *that* be fun to get through airports?
BPNVG cameras have shipped, so sometime this winter I'll get started on a set of dislocated camera/screen pairs for use in costumes where eye cannot see straight forward.
[redacted Halloween project that is too IRL to be posted here]
